Most people consider dandelions to be pesky weeds, rather than a powerful plant ally and springtime food source that was brought over with immigrants as part of their botanical toolkit. All parts of the dandelion can be eaten, from its sunny and cheerful flowers, highly nutritious green leaves, and medicinal taproots.

Traditionally, dandelion roots have been used as a supportive liver tonic. They contain bitter compounds, that help to encourage healthy digestion through the stimulation of gastric juices as well as stimulating the production of bile that is essential in breaking down fats. They are also a diuretic, meaning that they help to flush fluids from the body, and have a detoxifying and supportive effect on the kidneys. Dandelion is a mild laxative too due to its inulin content, so please note overconsumption can have a laxative effect.

Our Dandelion Root Tincture is made from fresh and wildcrafted dandelion roots on land that has never bee. sprayed with herbicides or pesticides and pure grain alcohol.

Directions: Take 15-30 drops in a glass of water or juice, as needed.

Ingredients: 1:2 tincture of pure grain alcohol, water, and Taraxacum officinale
