Hydrosols, otherwise known as “floral waters” are produced through the distillation of fresh plant material, such as flowers, leaves, fruits, barks, etc. They are the co-distillate of essential oil production and have similar properties to their respective essential oil counterparts. However, they are much less concentrated and contain unique water-soluble compounds that are not found in the essential oils.

All of our hydrosols are lovingly produced from sustainably wild-crafted plants in beautiful PNW forests or grown (pesticide-free) in our own garden in a traditional Portugeuse copper alembic still. They are extremely versatile and can be used in many ways, as a refreshing aromatherapy mist, as a skin-balancing toner, used as non-toxic household cleaners, a fragrant aftershave, or simply as a gentle substitute for your favorite essential oil blend.

Sage:
A beautifully herbaceous culinary sage, Salvia officinalis, that has been grown lovingly in my own garden. There’s a reason that sage has been a favored culinary and medicinal herb for thousands of years. Sage has a variety of incredible properties that make it an excellent and versatile hydrosol.

Uses:

• use it as refreshing and balancing toner for oily skin

• add salt and gargle with it for an amazing sore throat soother

• can be sprayed underarms to help stop excessive sweating and used as a natural deodorant

• spray it around your environment as a smokeless smudge spray to help balance and neutralize negative emotions and energy

• spray it on yoga mats to help elevate your practice and disinfect germs

• it makes a wonderful household cleaner, add it to your favorite natural cleaning fluid or use directly on glass and surfaces
