Hydrosols, otherwise known as “floral waters” are produced through the distillation of fresh plant material, such as flowers, leaves, fruits, barks, etc. They are the co-distillate of essential oil production and have similar properties to their respective essential oil counterparts. However, they are much less concentrated and contain unique water-soluble compounds that are not found in the essential oils.

All of our hydrosols are lovingly produced from sustainably wild-crafted plants in beautiful PNW forests or grown (pesticide-free) in our own garden in a traditional Portugeuse copper alembic still. They are extremely versatile and can be used in many ways, as a refreshing aromatherapy mist, as a skin-balancing toner, used as non-toxic household cleaners, a fragrant aftershave, or simply as a gentle substitute for your favorite essential oil blend.

Lavender:

A beautifully floral and sweet hydrosol freshly distilled from Lavandula angustifolia from my own garden. Lavender is one of the most versatile and healing herbs. It is instantly calming and soothing to the body, mind, and spirit.

Uses:

• spray it on your face as calming and skin regenerative toner.

• use it as refreshing toner for acneic skin, due to its anti-bacterial properties.

• as a soothing aftershave to decrease redness, irritation, and ingrown hairs.

• spray it in the air, on your linens, pillows, or person to help with anxiety or insomnia.

• keep in children’s bedrooms to help calm down tantrums, promote better sleep, and keep the monsters away.

• use it on sunburns, cuts, bug bites, or wounds as a gentle antiseptic and to help promote cellular healing.

• it makes a wonderful household cleaner, add it to your favorite natural cleaning fluid or use directly on glass and surfaces to disinfect.
